At Izaro Moventis, we understand sustainability as a real and ongoing commitment, integrated into our operations and daily decision-making. We are mindful of the impact generated by transport activities and work to reduce and offset it responsibly, moving towards mobility that is more respectful of the environment.
Within this framework, the Izaro Forest was established—an emission-offsetting initiative developed in collaboration with Tree‑Nation, an international platform specialising in reforestation projects and the fight against climate change. Through this project, we promote controlled tree planting in suitable locations, contributing to the regeneration of the natural environment and CO₂ absorption.
Furthermore, the Izaro Forest is an open and participatory project. We invite schools, institutions, organisations, businesses, and individuals to join this initiative, fostering environmental awareness and joint involvement in offsetting mobility-derived emissions.
In this way, Izaro Moventis moves towards a balanced, conscious, and committed transport model, combining operational efficiency, environmental responsibility, and collaboration with our stakeholders.
At Izaro Moventis, we work continuously to reduce the environmental impact associated with our activity, paying special attention to the care, management, and evolution of the fleet.
We select our vehicles following a rigorous analysis of the technological innovation of the sector, prioritising more efficient models, with low-consumption engines and emission-reduction systems, such as particulate regeneration filters. Fleet renewal is constant and responsible, guided by common-sense criteria: we understand that replacing vehicles prematurely to incorporate minor improvements is not always the most sustainable option. Therefore, we evaluate every decision by balancing safety, environmental efficiency, quality, and comfort.
As part of this process, we have incorporated a dual LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) and diesel system in approximately 7% of the fleet. In certain operational contexts, LPG represents a more efficient alternative to conventional fuel and is one of the technologically viable options for private hire transport today.
Likewise, we opt for more responsible materials, such as the upholstery of the seats with ELeather, a recycled leather made from industry offcuts, manufactured using a process free from harmful substances and a production system that recycles up to 95% of the water used, without compromising durability or comfort.
The preventive and periodic maintenance of the vehicles is another fundamental pillar of our strategy. Regardless of annual mileage, at Izaro Moventis we inspect the entire fleet at least once a year, optimising the performance and efficiency of key components, such as air and particulate filters, contributing to both operational reliability and emission reduction.
This comprehensive approach is part of our commitment to a more efficient and responsible mobility oriented towards continuous improvement, always guaranteeing the highest standards of safety, quality, and comfort.
At Izaro Moventis, we apply efficient driving criteria across all our services, regardless of the vehicle type or propulsion system, with the aim of optimising energy consumption and contributing to the reduction of CO₂ emissions associated with transport activity.
To achieve this, we optimise routes using advanced management and planning software, which integrates GPS geolocation data and travel time prediction systems. This technology allows us to adjust routes dynamically, reduce unnecessary mileage, and improve fuel efficiency, contributing to a smaller environmental footprint.
Furthermore, we are committed to the continuous training of our drivers in efficient driving, encouraging a moderate and anticipatory driving style: avoiding speeding, harsh acceleration, and sudden braking, and using the correct gears for every situation. We also promote the responsible use of climate control systems, maintaining stable and efficient temperatures throughout the journey.
At Izaro Moventis, we integrate sustainability into the daily management of our facilities, applying reduction, reuse, and recycling criteria through advanced systems and spaces specifically designed to minimise the environmental impact of our activity.
One of the pillars of this approach is our bus wash with water recovery, equipped with an RF gravel filter that allows for the reuse of up to 85% of the water used in each wash. For reference, when cleaning a 12-metre coach, the system allows for the reuse of approximately 425 litres of the 500 litres required, significantly optimising water consumption.
Additionally, our facilities feature a centralised vacuum system, designed to capture and retain particles generated during vehicle sanding and painting, contributing to a cleaner working environment and reducing the presence of airborne pollutants.
In the area of repair and maintenance, we have incorporated a high-efficiency electric spray booth. This system allows for the zoning of drying areas, avoiding the need to heat the entire booth and reducing energy consumption compared to traditional gas or diesel solutions. It also filters suspended particles and eliminates risks associated with flammable fuels.
Finally, we operate our own on-site repair workshop and apply responsible waste management, working with specialist contractors to recycle the maximum possible volume of materials, in line with our commitment to operational efficiency and environmental respect.
